Georgia Tech 2024 Offensive Tackle Target Malachi Toliver Commits To Georgia

Georgia Tech lost out to a rival for a 2024 target on the offensive line

Brent Key and Georgia Tech have had a good start to the 2024 recruiting class, but they lost out on one of their top targets on the offensive line today.

Malachi Toliver (Cartersville, GA) is a three-star offensive tackle who visited Tech as recently as March 11th, but Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs got the recruiting win today.

Toliver is rated as a three-star on the 247Sports Composite rankings and the 78th-best player in the state of Georgia. He also had offers from Arkansas, Auburn, Louisville, LSU, Miami, Michigan, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Penn State, and Ole Miss, among others.

Key and the Yellow Jackets staff have had success in the last couple of weeks, but this is a target that I am sure they would have liked to get. The good thing is there are still plenty of targets left on the board.

Georgia Tech currently has four players committed for the 2024 class and one of them is four-star quarterback Jakhari Williams (Macon, GA). Williams is the guy that Key is going to be building this class around and that is a very good building block alongside running back commit Duke Watson. They will be considered the backfield of the future for Georgia Tech.

Georgia Tech's 2024 recruiting class currently ranks 26th according to 247Sports, which is good for 7th in the ACC.

2024 Commitments

  • Jakhari Williams (QB)
  • Duke Watson (RB)
  • Santana Alo-Tupuola (IOL)
  • Jordan Boyd (DE/LB)
