Top Defensive Line Targets For Georgia Tech in 2024
Georgia Tech got their 8th commitment this week and it was a big one. Defensive tackle Landen Marshall from Alabama gave his pledge to the Yellow Jackets after being in Atlanta on an official visit and while he was the eighth commitment for the Yellow Jackets, he was the first defensive tackle in the class.
So who could be the next defensive tackle for the Yellow Jackets in this class?
DL Alex Foster (Greenville, MS)
Foster is a three-star defensive lineman on the 247Sports Composite and he is taking a visit to Georgia Tech next week. Foster is a 6'5 250 LBS prospect that has been gaining offers in the past months and has visits set to Arkansas and Baylor as well. Foster would be a solid addition to the class and this visit is going to be one to follow.
DT Carlon Jones (Bay City, TX)
Jones is another defensive line prospect that is soon going to visit Georgia Tech. The Yellow Jackets will be getting the last visit from Jones, which could be good news. He has visited Nebraska and Oklahoma State already and has visits lined up to Cal and TCU. Jones is ranked the 678th prospect in the 247Sports Composite and would be a solid addition to the class.
DL Joseph Jonah-Ajonye (Conroe, TX)
Four-star defensive lineman Joseph Jonah-Ajonye took an official visit to Georgia Tech and he would be a huge get for the Yellow Jackets. He does have officials lined up to Texas Tech, Oklahoma, and Georgia. He does have a 247 Crystal Ball in place to Georgia and the Bulldogs could be the team to beat.
While those three players have official visits lined up or already taken, there are defensive linemen that have been on unofficial visits that still could be on the Yellow Jackets' radar.
Three-star defensive tackle Marcus Downs (Greer, SC) took an unofficial visit to Georgia Tech in April, but nothing since. He has taken an official to North Carolina.
Three-star defensive lineman Sincere Edwards (Apopka, FL) is a current UCF commit who did take an unofficial to Georgia Tech in March. He has an official to UCF lined up as well as one to Pitt. It does not look like there is much here, but things can change.
This has a chance to be a really solid defensive line group for the Yellow Jackets and defensive line coach Marco Coleman has done a good job of recruiting these prospects and getting them on campus. Keep an eye out on this class to see if any more offers go out or if the Yellow Jackets can gain any momentum.
