WATCH: Eric Singleton Jr catches a 53-yard touchdown on the first play of the game
That did not take long.
After a great kickoff return by Christian Leary to get Georgia Tech starting field position near midfield, quarterback Haynes King found his new favorite target Eric Singleton Jr for a 53-yard touchdown to start the game. It is the fifth career touchdown already for the true freshman in just his fifth game.
Georgia Tech leads 7-0 in the 1st quarter.
