Georgia Tech Softball Defeats Brown 6-0
Georgia Tech Softball is now on a three-game winning streak after defeating Brown today 1-0 in Atlanta.
Chandler Dennis picked up her sixth win of the season today and Blake Neleman was credited with her sixth save today. Both offenses were kept quiet for much of the day, but an exploding from the Yellow Jackets in the 6th inning let them pull away and complete the shutout.
Sara Beth Allen got the scoring going for Georgia Tech in the first inning with a solo home run, but that would be the only run that either team would be able to muster until the sixth inning.
A two-RBI single from Jin Sileo was able to extend the lead to 3-0 and then a three-run home run from Grace Connelly pushed it to 6-0.
Georgia Tech outhit Brown 9-4 today. Dennis threw 5.1 innings and struck out four batters.
Georgia Tech is back in action on Wednesday as they welcome in Auburn for a matchup. The first pitch is set for 2:00 p.m.
