College basketball expert Jon Rothstein predicted how he thinks this season of SEC hoops will go.

Where does Kentucky rank?

Let's see how Rothstein thinks the SEC will shake out this season.

1. Texas A&M

2. Arkansas

3. Tennessee

4. Kentucky

5. Mississippi State

6. Auburn

7. Alabama

8. Missouri

9. Ole Miss

10. Florida

11. LSU

12. Vanderbilt

13. Georgia

14. South Carolina

I can see why Rothstein has the Cats ranked fourth with a banged-up team, but Aaron Bradshaw and Ugonna Onyenso shouldn't miss that much time if any at all, so this team will be at full strength sooner rather than later.

Kentucky also brought in seven-foot-two center Zvonimir Ivisic, who will help hold down the five spot while Coach Cal waits for Onyenso and Bradshaw to return.

This Wildcat team is deep and has enough talent to run out a bunch of players so the starters can keep their legs throughout the game.

The SEC gets better every year, but I am fully sold, thanks to the additions of Tre Mitchell and Ivisic to go with the return of Antonio Reeves, that this Kentucky team will be one of the best in the conference.

Coach Calipari will lead this 2023-24 team to something special, which might be the first NCAA Tournament run in recent memory.
