247Sports wrote an article where they predicted the role of each transfer into the SEC, which for the Cats would be Tre Mitchell.

Isaac Trotter of 247Sports had this to say about Mitchell. "Starter, even when Aaron Bradshaw and Ugonna Onyenso get healthy, Mitchell will be a big piece of this Kentucky offense. The three-point stroke and passing/shot-creation have to be consistently excellent to make up for some defensive issues, but Mitchell is shaping up to be a massive late (miracle) addition for John Calipari and the Kentucky staff."

At Wildcats Today, we believe Mitchell will come off the bench to relieve five-star freshman Aaron Bradshaw at the four once he is healthy.

Mitchell is in a tough sport because I don't think Cal will start him over Justin Edwards at the three or Bradshaw at the four.

He will definitely play a bunch of minutes, but I don't see them coming in a starter's role.

Mitchell was still a massive last-second addition by Coach Cal and his staff because he added depth to a banged-up frontcourt.

He has veteran leadership, which will help this basketball team full of multiple freshmen learn the college game faster.

Mitchell will be a big part of this 2023-24 Kentucky basketball team that is in for a big season.
