Notre Dame Commits Continue Momentum Heading Into Playoffs
Notre Dame absolutely dominated the Pitt Panthers on Saturday, getting the final four game stretch off to a tremendous start. The future of the Irish program also had standout weeks, including several playoff victories and massive individual performances.
Let’s recap each of those performances from Notre Dame commits. The 2024 and 2025 classes continue to impress.
QB CJ CARR, SALINE (Mich.) HIGH SCHOOL
RESULT: Saline 56, Pioneer 14
It was a nearly flawless day for Carr, completing 17 of 20 passes for 200 yards and two touchdowns during the victory. His younger brother Tommy, who is viewed as the next in line under center once CJ leaves, also completed all five of his passes for 47 yards.
QB DEUCE KNIGHT (2025), LUCEDALE (Miss.) GEORGE COUNTY
RESULT: Picayune 34, George County 21
The Picayune defense was suffocating on Friday night. That unit ended with nine tackles for loss and six sacks during that contest. Despite the constant pressure, Knight still made a series of plays, ending with a touchdown pass and a 77 yard touchdown run before the game got away from George County.
RB ANEYAS WILLIAMS, HANNIBAL (Mo.) HIGH SCHOOL
RESULT: Hannibal 64, St. Charles 12
Hannibal advanced to the district semifinals after their dominant 64-12 victory over St. Charles on Friday. Williams did the majority of his damage through the air, hauling in five receptions for 85 yards and two touchdowns. He also added another touchdown on the ground, pushing his career total to 132.
RB KEDREN YOUNG, LUFKIN (Texas) HIGH SCHOOL
RESULT: Lufkin 47, West Mesquite 18
Young set his school record in career rushing yards on Friday, eclipsing the 4,000 yard mark for his career. The standout senior scored two touchdowns, runs of 73 and 48 yards.
RB JUSTIN THURMAN (2025), TAMPA BAY (Fla.) JESUIT
RESULT: Jesuit 28, Hillsboro 7
Thurman continued his hot streak during the team’s 28-7 victory over Hillsboro on Friday. He once again scored a touchdown, which was his ninth score in his last four games.
WR CAM WILLIAMS, GLEN ELLYN (Ill.) GLENBARD SOUTH
RESULT: Glenbard South 54, The Noble Academy 0
Glenbard South got their playoff run started on Friday, defeating The Noble Academy 54-0 in dominant fashion. It was a rainy day, which limited the Raider passing attack. Williams still managed to make his impact felt, scoring two touchdowns on the ground.
WR MICAH GILBERT, CHARLOTTE (N.C.) CHRISTIAN
RESULT: Charlotte Christian 41, Charlotte Country Day School 21
Gilbert continued his massive senior campaign against Charlotte Country Day School on Friday, hauling in five receptions for 89 yards and a touchdown. On the season, Gilbert has made 71 receptions for 1,001 yards and eight touchdowns.
WR LOGAN SALDATE, SALINAS (Calif.) PALMA
RESULT: Salinas 34, Palma 14
The Palma offense was held in check against Salinas, falling 34-14 on Friday. Saldate managed to make five receptions for 60 yards on the night. He has been consistently excellent so far this season.
TE JAMES FLANIGAN (2025), GREEN BAY (Wisc.) NOTRE DAME ACADEMY
RESULT: Notre Dame Academy 49, Fort Valley Lutheran 10
Notre Dame Academy continued their momentum on Friday, defeating Fox Valley Lutheran (7-4) by a 49-10 score. On Friday, Flanigan and his talented squad continue their playoff push against an undefeated Mount Horeb/Barneveld team.
OT GUERBY LAMBERT, WEST ROXBURY (Mass.) CATHOLIC MEMORIAL
RESULT: Catholic Memorial 41, Malden Catholic 19
Catholic Memorial put out a tremendous performance this weekend, defeating Malden Catholic 41-19. That was the team’s second largest margin of victory this season. Lambert and his talented squad head into a bye week before playing Boston College High (5-3) in two weeks.
OT STYLES PRESCOD, FISHERS (Ind.) HAMILTON SOUTHEASTERN
RESULT: Hamilton Southeastern 56, Fort Wayne Northrop 7
Hamilton Southeastern got off to a fast start, taking a 42-0 lead into halftime. They coasted the rest of the way, winning 56-7 when the final whistle blew. Prescod and his talented team are set to take on Fishers (7-3) on Friday.
DE LOGHAN THOMAS, LAKEWOOD (Ohio) ST. EDWARD
RESULT: St. Edward 42, Elyria 0
Elyria stood no chance against St. Edward on Friday, falling by a 42-0 margin. The defending state champions, the Eagles will now take on GlenOak (7-4) on Friday. Look for Thomas to continue his red hot senior campaign.
DE CJ MAY (2025), HIGHLAND HOME (Al.) HIGH SCHOOL
RESULT: Reeltown 21, Highland Home 14
For the first time this season, Highland Home suffered a loss on Friday. They fell to Reeltown by a score of 21-14. The Flying Squadron head into a bye week looking to regroup.
DT SEAN SEVILLANO, CLEARWATER ACADEMY INTERNATIONAL
RESULT: Clearwater Academy 43, University Christian 6
It was the last home game in the high school of Sevillano, defeating University Christian by a 43-6 margin. The team will travel to take on Venice (7-2) on Friday night. Sevillano has now gone for over 50 tackles for loss in back-to-back seasons.
LB KYNGSTONN VILIAMU-ASA, BELLFLOWER (Calif.) ST. JOHN BOSCO
RESULT: St. John Bosco 44, Orange Lutheran 22
At halftime, St. John Bosco held a narrow 23-15 lead. The Braves went on to dominate in the second half to make the game look uncompetitive. They head into a bye week before their hunt for a second straight state and national championship.
LB BODIE KAHOUN, ROANOKE (Va.) PATRICK HENRY
RESULT: Patrick Henry 68, Blacksburg 0
It was a dominant performance from Patrick Henry, destroying Blacksburg by a score of 68-0. Now sitting at 8-1, they are slated to play against Hidden Valley (1-8) on Friday.
LB TEDDY REZAC, OMAHA (Neb.) WESTSIDE
RESULT: Westside 54, Creighton Prep 6
Rezac was a playmaker for Westside in their first round playoff game on Friday, finishing the night with eight total tackles and an interception. He also chipped in offensively with four receptions for 19 yards.
CB KARSON HOBBS, CINCINNATI (Ohio) ARCHBISHOP MOELLER
RESULT: Archbishop Moeller 49, West Clermont 13
Archbishop Moeller has won two straight games after their dominant 49-13 victory over West Clermont. Led by Hobbs, they will now travel to take on St. Xavier (7-4) on Friday. The senior cornerback continues to show an increase in speed so far this season.
S TAEBRON BENNIE-POWELL, WEST CHESTER (Ohio) LAKOTA WEST
RESULT: Lakota West 69, Western Hills 0
Lakota West has now won nine straight games after an 0-2 start, in dominant fashion over the weekend. As a defense, Bennie-Powell and his crew have only let up 77 points in 11 games, an average of seven points per contest. On Friday, they will take on a very talented Elder (7-4) squad.
S KENNEDY URLACHER, CHANDLER (Ariz.) HIGH SCHOOL
RESULT: Chandler 49, Perry 7
Urlacher ended the night with three total tackles and a half a tackle for loss. On the season, Urlacher has recorded 37 total tackles, one interception, one pass breakups and two forced fumbles.
