PITTSBURGH -- With their top four guards set to graduate this spring and move on from their illustrious college careers, the Pitt Panthers move to the job of roster building yet again, with getting more guards their top priority.

The Panthers are trying to fill these holes in the transfer portal and they have found another option to add to their recruiting board. According to a report from George Michaelowski of Pittsburgh Sports Now and the Portal Report, the Pitt coaching staff contacted Arizona State transfer D.J. Horne, the Sun Devils' second-leading scorer (12.5 points per game) and assister (2.4 assists per game) this past season who made 35.5% of his 3-point attempts. Horne's next school will be the third of his career after productive stops at Illinois State and Arizona State.

6'1, 175-pound Horne is already drawing high major interest from elsewhere. Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Seton Hall, Arkansas, Iowa State, Texas A&M, Mississippi State, NC State, LSU, Wake Forest and Washington State are just some of the other schools to have reached out as well.

As it stands, the Panthers have three scholarships to play around with this offseason. Their high school recruiting for this cycle is all but certainly done, with a top-25 class of three recruits already signed. It's reasonable to expect some turnover from their own roster but it will be minimal if any and no players have decided to transfer out at this time.
