WASHINGTON, DC -- The Pitt Panthers will be among the favorites to take home an ACC crown this week as the annual conference tournament gets underway in Washington, D.C.

Pitt has the fifth-best odds to win the ACC Tournament, accoriding to BetOnline.ag, at 12/1. They trail only North Carolina (3/2), Duke (8/5), Clemson (8/1) and Wake Forest (9/1). 

The Panthers finished fourth in the ACC standings this season, their best finish since joining the conference in 2013. Pitt started 1-5 in league play but ripped off 11 wins over their last 14 games to vault back into contention for a double-bye in this tournament and a second consecutive at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament. 

Pitt clinched the fourth seed in the ACC Tournament with an 81-73 win over N.C. State at home to close out the regular season. 

Virginia (16/1), Virginia Tech (25/1), Syracuse (50/1), Florida State (75/1), Miami (75/1), N.C. State (75/1), Notre Dame (150/1), Boston College (300/1), Georgia Tech (500/1) and Louisville (500/1) check in behind the Panthers in terms of their own odds to win the whole thing. 

Pitt opens their ACC Tournament run in the quarterfinals, where they await either Georgia Tech, Notre Dame or Wake Forest. The Yellow Jackets and Fighting Irish will play for the right to face the Demon Deacons in round two and the winner of the round two matchup will move on to face the Panthers.
