PITTSBURGH -- You'll be able to find ACC football and basketball on a new television station in 2023, beginning with the Pitt Panthers' matchup against the Cincinnati Bearcats in Week 2.

The ACC announced that The CW had bought the exclusive broadcast rights to 50 football and basketball games for each season through 2027 and Pitt-Cincinnati on September 9 will be the first such game they will carry.

In addition to 13 football games, the CW will carry 28 men's and nine women's basketball games during Saturday and Sunday afternoons. The CW bought these rights from Raycom Sports, which bought the sublicensees to these rights from ESPN. Raycom will continue to produce these broadcasts for The CW.

The CW is a national network that reaches 100% of US television households but Pittsburgh's WPCW-TV will cease to be a CW affiliate in this fall, beginning on August 31, according to a report from Rob Owen of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. The CW is eligible to be picked up by any other Pittsburgh television network, but has not yet.
