PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers made a strong enough impression on four-star wide receiver Keylen Adams to land in his list of final five schools, but were left on the outside looking in when he committed this week.

Adams, who was picking from a top five of Pitt, Ohio State, South Carolina, Alabama and Virginia Tech, announced on his Instagram that he would be joining the Hokies' 2024 recruiting class as two analysts from 247Sports had predicted earlier in the week.

Adams, a unanimous four-star recruit and consensus top-three player in the class of 2024 in the state of Virginia, is also ranked as high as the No. 19 wide receiver (ESPN) and No. 158 player (On3) in the class.

The dynamic athlete from Virginia Beach and Green Run High School held offers from North Carolina, Miami, Maryland, Georgia, Michigan, Florida State, Auburn, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, NC State, Duke, Syracuse, Virginia, Boston College and many others.

This is the third four-star recruit the Panthers have lost to the Hokies during this cycle, along with defensive lineman Emmett Laws and linebacker Gabriel Williams.
