PITTSBURGH -- In his first two games with the Toronto Raptors at the 2023 NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, former Pitt Panthers forward Mouhamadou Gueye played but struggled offensively while showing some flashes of athleticism and defensive skills. That was not the case in his third game.

In a 94-90 loss to the Detroit Pistons, Gueye played his best NBA game to date. He scored 15 points on five of eight shooting from the field, tied for second on the team with seven rebounds and dished out three assists. Gueye knocked down his line 3-point attempt after going 1-7 through games one and two, and made four of five shots from the free throw line. He also hammered home another powerful transition dunk in the second quarter.

Gueye played the most minutes of his time in the Summer League against Detroit this week. After logging 17 and 16 minutes in his first two appearances, Gueye played 21 minutes and was a +2 for the game.

In his first two appearances, Gueye recorded 10 total points, 10 rebounds and four blocks. He appears to be in line to at least be a candidate to sign a training camp deal with the Raptors this fall.
