PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers have just suffered an ugly defeat at the hands of the Cincinnati Bearcats and are staring down a road trip to Morgantown, West Virginia for the Backyard Brawl.

But the Panthers, for as poor as they looked in their last outing, are still favorites to beat the Mountaineers at their place this weekend. Pitt is a 1.5-point favorite, the point total line has been set at 50.5 and the Panthers are favored on the moneyline at -120 to +100 for West Virginia.

The Mountaineers are also 1-1, with a loss on the road at Penn State and home drubbing of Duquesne on their resume.

This is the first Backyard Brawl played at Milan Puskar Stadium since 2011, which was also West Virginia's last win in this series. Pitt won the first game in the revival of this series, 38-31 at Acrisure Stadium on opening night last year thanks to a fourth-quarter pick-six from cornerback M.J. Devonshire.
