PITTSBURGH -- Three-star running back Jordaan Bailey, who signed with the Pitt Panthers last December, will not enroll at the university this summer, according to a report from PantherLair.com

Bailey had de-committed in early December amid concerns that he was not academically eligible but reportedly worked out a plan to get eligible by the summer with Pitt's coaches. However, the report from PantherLair claims that Bailey did not finish the necessary work.

Bailey chose the Panthers over the likes of Mississippi State, Cincinnati and West Virginia. He was the No. 55 player in Florida and No. 38 running back in the country, according to 247Sports.

The loss of Bailey levies a hit on Pitt's future running back depth, but the current stable of runners - junior Israel Abanikanda, senior Vincent Davis and sophomore Rodney Hammond - appear more than capable of carrying the rushing load in the present.
