PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers were on a roll this weekend as they added three new commitments in as many days to their already strong class of 2024. Zachary Crothers, a junior defensive end from Hollywood, Florida, became the ninth commit in the class following a weekend visit to the Steel City.

Crothers does not have a rating from any of the four major recruiting services. The 6'4, 240-pound prospect held offers from Minnesota, Liberty, Indiana, Coastal Carolina, Oregon State and others and had visited Florida State as well.

He is the ninth commit in the class of 2024 for Pitt, which is ranked as high as 12th nationally by Rivals and is in the top 20 of 247Sports' rankings. Crothers is the fourth defensive lineman to give a verbal commitment to Pat Narduzzi's program, alongside four-star Jashear Whittington and three-stars Francis Brewu and Ty Yuhas.
