PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers have just one player committed to their 2024 recruiting class in four-star guard Brandin Cummings and they're looking to add another.

The Pitt coaching staff reached out to a 6'7 rising senior power forward in DeMatha High School's Malcolm Thomas, a three-star prospect from Hyattsville, Maryland, per a report from 247Sports contributor Colby Giacubeno.

According to Giacubeno, St. Louis and Villanova have offered recently and Florida State, Princeton, Temple and Vanderbilt had also established contact this week. He also holds offers form Tulsa and Xavier.

Thomas is rated as a three-star prospect by On3 and 247Sports. He is ranked as high as the No. 5 player in Maryland, the No. 30 power forward in the country and the No. 140 overall prospect in the class of 2024 (On3). 247Sports considers him the No. 7 player in Maryland and the No. 42 power forward in his class.
