How To Watch: South Carolina vs. North Carolina

South Carolina's Football team is set to begin their 2023 season against North Carolina. How and when can you watch the game?

On Saturday night, South Carolina will kick off the third season of the Shane Beamer era against a ranked North Carolina Tar Heels squad led by College Football Hall of Fame coach Mack Brown. Both teams have a lot riding on this game.

The Gamecocks are looking to validate what they did at the end of the 2022 season and prove that they aren't just a blip on the radar screen nationally speaking. The Tar Heels want to regain the trust of some portions of the national college football space and display traits of a potential ACC Championship contender, and do so by knocking off a quality SEC opponent in the process.

The two most prominent names in this matchup are the quarterbacks, South Carolina's Spencer Rattler and North Carolina's Drake Maye, with both guys being viewed as the engine that drives each offense. Two offensive coordinators are also making their debuts with their respective teams, as Dowell Loggains will be calling plays for the Gamecocks. At the same time, Chip Lindsey will dawn the headset on the other sideline.

It's the third time in the past five years that the Battle of the Carolinas has taken place, and the second ever meeting between the two head coaches: Shane Beamer and Mack Brown. Shane Beamer got the better of the Hall of Famer in the 2021 Duke's Mayo Bowl, and we'll see if that happens again this weekend.
