Shane Beamer and South Carolina's Football team are viewed as the fastest-rising coach-team duo in all of college football. Winning two games against college football playoff contenders to conclude the previous regular season will garner you that perception.
While Gamecock fans have felt like other fans, both within and outside the SEC footprint have begun to recognize the potential here in Columbia, they haven't always felt that way with the media, especially in the national space. However, it's clear that the view of South Carolina that existed three years ago it starting to wither away, as it was announced on Monday afternoon that the Gamecocks neutral site matchup against the North Carolina Tar Heels in Charlotte will be the week one destination for College Gameday.

It'll be the ninth time overall in school history that the Gamecocks have appeared on College Gameday, and the first time since their September 27th, 2014, when they played the Missouri Tigers in Columbia, SC.
