South Carolina's Football program secured another massive recruiting victory on Friday morning in the form of Dillon offensive lineman Josiah Thompson. Thompson's addition is widely regarded to be the final piece to the "Great Wall of Carolina", a moniker created by the Gamecocks' social media team and used around the fanbase to describe the elite o-line talent the team's secured in the Palmetto state over the past 12 months in Markee Anderson, Kam Pringle, Blake Franks and Josiah Thompson.

While this aforementioned moniker refers to South Carolina to this point, there's a chance that this could extend out to the state of North Carolina in the 2025 class, with the nation's No. 1 overall prospect in David Sanders Jr. Sanders has been a target of Shane Beamer and Co. since his freshman year of high school, as they became the first SEC program to offer the Charlotte native. Since that offer, a strong bond has grown between the staff and David to where he's already taken three visits since this past summer.

When it comes to recruitments involving other blue-chip prospects at their position, high school players tend to pay close attention to where the best are heading, and David Sanders backed up this notion with an instagram story he posted not long after Josiah committed to the Gamecocks on Friday morning.

While obviously, it would be trivial to base where his recruitment could be heading based on one social media post, it's noteworthy that Sanders is paying close attention to the Gamecocks' recruiting victories along the offensive line. One thing's for certain, after this recent stretch, nobody should count out South Carolina in a race for a national-level offensive lineman, especially when they're in close proximity to Columbia.
