2025 RB Justin Baker Includes Gamecocks In Top 6
With three scholarship running backs on South Carolina's Football possessing either one or two years of eligibility remaining in their college career, running backs coach Montario Hardesty and the rest of the Gamecock's offensive coaching staff need to hit on some running back targets in the 2024 and 2025 cycles. Carolina has already landed a 2024 running back commitment this Summer in Matthew Fuller and could be in prime position to land another one in Mississippi native Daniel Hill.
However, the Gamecocks 2025 running back board remains unclear at this point, with South Carolina having yet to identify a No. 1 target at the position. One prospect seemingly conveying mutual interest in Carolina's Football program is Buford High School (Ga.) product Justin Baker.
Baker has taken three unofficial visits to South Carolina to this point in the recruiting process, with his latest one occurring on June 24th. It appears that the appeal the program and Shane Beamer's staff have accumulated over the past two years has caught the attention of Baker. as he included the Gamecocks in his Top 6 that he released on Tuesday.
South Carolina is joined by programs like Georgia, Michigan, Tennessee, Ole Miss, and NC State in Justin's Top 6. Georgia is the only other school besides the Gamecocks that Baker has visited on more than two occasions. While there's still plenty of time left in this recruitment, it would appear that South Carolina is positioning themselves well in Justin's recruitment.
