Amari Jefferson Locked In With Alabama, Considering Other Visits
Amari Jefferson is a former Tennessee baseball commit and a current Alabama baseball and Alabama football commit. Jefferson plays football and basketball at Baylor High School in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He measures in at 6'0, 200 pounds, and is a senior athlete. In football, he plays wide receiver, and in baseball, he plays outfield. After his Friday night game against Knoxville Catholic High School, Jefferson took the time to catch up with Volunteer Country.
Jefferson and the Baylor Red Raiders walked away with an impressive showcase win on Friday. "Feeling pretty good, I didn't get to play that much; the team kind of wore them out a little bit, so kind of got up out of there early, so it was a quick night," Jefferson stated.
Jefferson was asked how things with Alabama were going - there are teams knocking on the door, but he's been locked in with the Crimson Tide. "Yeah, I mean, I have a great relationship with the Alabama staff. Everything is great. I mean, there have been some schools trying to recruit me still. I'm not going to say those, but there have been a couple of schools that have still been talking to me a lot. They are trying to get me to visit stuff like that, but my relationship with Alabama is still great; they do everything good and have never stopped."
He then goes on to talk about potential visits that he has in mind by saying, "Yeah, I mean, I'm going to take one for the LSU game, and I'm trying to maybe go to one or two other games, not Alabama, so we'll see." The young two-sport athlete was also talking about the Alabama baseball staff. He mentions his own opinions about that staff by saying, "I mean, it's a new staff; they came from Maryland. They did a great job over at Maryland, so it's going to be an exciting program."
