Concession Food Item of the Week: The Sens Prime Rib Double Decker
We’ve been taking it easy on you guys the past few weeks with sensible portion sizes, but now we’re hitting you with a double whammy. This week’s fine burger — or rather burgers — comes from the generous Canadians, who have loaded on so many ingredients in one dish we’re not quite sure where to begin. It’s all part of Aramark’s new creations in honor of our favorite holiday, National Sandwich Day.
WHAT IS THIS WITCHCRAFT?: The Sens Prime Rib Double Decker
WHO HATH WROUGHT THIS MONTROSITY?: Canadian Tire Centre, home of the Ottawa Senators.
Eat like a pro (kind of): 8 athletes with namesake sandwiches
WHAT COMPRISES SUCH A THING?: Chopped prime rib in a sweet steak sauce, Sriracha mayo and crispy Tabasco onions sandwiched between a potato scallion bun. Topped with frisee lettuce. Then topped with a melted provolone and tomato slider on a brioche bun. Then topped with onion rings. And finally, served with roasted garlic and pepper fries.
WOW THAT'S A LOT OF TOPPINGS: Yeah but we forgot the most important one — love.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?: $18 for appetizer, salad, entrée and sides all in one.
$18 CANADIAN?: Yeah, so who KNOWS how much it is American.
HOW MANY CALORIES WE TALKIN'?: About 1,500. But if you take out the green stuff it's 1,496.
