WATCH: Atlanta puts up a six spot in the first inning against Miami

Marlins starter Eury Perez, who entered this game with one earned run in thirty inning in June, doesn't make it out of the first

Life, uh, comes at you fast.

Marlins starter Eury Perez, only twenty years old, was one of the best pitcher in baseball since getting called up. He had a twenty-one inning scoreless streak and had given up only one run in the month of June, a solo homerun to the White Sox's Yasmani Grandal.

He also hadn't faced Atlanta.

The Braves put up seven hits and six runs in the first inning, with two homeruns (from Ronald Acuña Jr and Ozzie Albies), two singles, and two doubles.

Perez recorded only one out, inducing a groundout of Eddie Rosario once it was already 5-0.

Perez was ultimately lifted for reliever George Soriano in what is not only the shortest outing of his career, but one that raised his ERA from 1.34 to 2.47 in just thirty-five pitches.
