WATCH: Eddie Rosario hits a homerun for the third straight game
The Atlanta Braves have dominated this Colorado Rockies series until today - down 5-0 in the bottom of the 2nd, Eddie Rosario decided to do something about it.
With Matt Olson and Marcell Ozuna on base, Rosario caught a hanging changeup on the outer third and pulled it to right-center for a three-run homerun.
The blast came off the bat at 102.4, going 420 feet. The homerun is Rosario's 11th of the season, and it's the first time he's hit bombs in three straight games in his career.
If Atlanta can come back and win this one, it'll be Atlanta's fifth sweep of the season.
Pitching Matchup for the Atlanta Braves vs Colorado Rockies on Sunday, June 18th
Starting for the Atlanta Braves is Charlie Morton. The veteran is 5-6 with a 3.60 ERA in his thirteen starts on the season, striking out eighty-five in his seventy-five innings of work. As expected from the veteran, he's faced the Rockies numerous times before, going 4-2 with a 3.89 ERA in his twelve career starts. He's won both of his Atlanta starts against the Rockies, both in Colorado, striking out twelve in twelve innings with eight total hits and six runs allowed. Two current Rockies have taken him deep, with Mike Moustakas (2-9, HR, 7 RBIs) and Jurickson Profar (4-15, HR, RBI) leading the charge.
Opposing Atlanta is RHP Chase Anderson. The veteran is 0-0 with a 3.16 ERA in his six starts on the year, striking out twenty-three in his thirty-one and a third innings. Not many in Atlanta's lineup have that much experience or success against him, with Marcell Ozuna being the only lineup regular with more than five plate appearances (he has twenty-one) or more than two hits (7-21, HR, 2 RBIs) against Anderson.
