Just when you think Jose Ramirez has done it all, he does something else that leaves you sitting there with your jaw dropped.

The Cleveland Guardians imploded and lost the series finale to the Kansas City Royals on Thursday afternoon. They still won the series, but they had a chance to sweep until the final two innings.

Trevor Stephan came in and allowed two runs in the eighth inning which tied the game. Ramirez was the final batter out in the ninth which meant he would be the runner on second to start the 10th inning. He advanced to third on a Josh Naylor ground ball, setting up the mind-blowing play.

This set up the play that would take over social media for the rest of the night.

With the game tied at two and two outs, Jose broke for home and pulled off a straight steal of home plate. He was originally called out, but Cleveland challenged the play which found Ramirez safe.

This allowed the Guardians to take a late 3-2 lead.

Just the fact that Jose even thought about doing this is wild! I'm sure the thought of stealing home in that situation wouldn't even pop into the heads of a majority of the league. Maybe some of baseball's fastest players would consider it, but that doesn't mean they'd actually do it.

The most impressive part of this play was Jose's slide. He successfully avoided the tag from Salvador Perez by going around and reaching back to touch the plate with his hand.

This play came just a day after Jose ripped a line-drive grand slam in the second game of the series. It's safe to say Jose Ramirez is must-watch TV, even for those outside of Cleveland. He's a treat to watch and deserves much more credit for what he's been able to do.
