The Cavs Haven't Done This Since The Middle Of December
The Cleveland Cavaliers have had a rollercoaster of a season. There have been times when the team has looked like a true Finals contender and then there are other times when they get blown out by the Warriors B-Team.
The month of January was one of the low points of the season in which they went 8-and-8 with some pretty brutal losses. However, they're beginning to turn it around in the month of February.
In the first game of the month, Donovan Mitchell and Dillion Brooks got into their infamous rumble which resulted in a Mitchell ejection. However, this has turned into a rallying moment for this young team looking for something to mobilize around.
Cleveland went on to blow out the Grizzlies in that game and then rattle off four more wins since then. This includes victories over the Pacers, Wizards, Pistons, and Pelicans. This brings their winning streak up to five games.
It also ties the second-longest winning streak they've had all season.
The Cavs haven't been on this long of a winning streak since the middle of December. From December 14 to December 21 they rattled off five straight wins coming against the Mavericks twice, the Pacers, Jazz, and the Bucks.
The most consecutive wins that the Cavs have been able to rattle off this year was eight which occurred in the first 10 games of the season.
Perhaps they're on the way to tying or breaking that streak.
