Dylan Windler Injury Update, Getting Closer To Action
There's only one more player the Cavs need to get back in order to be at full strength. That's Dylan Windler who has yet to play this season due to an ankle injury. However, everything is starting to line up and Windler is getting closer and closer to playing for the Cavs.
He was listed as QUESTIONABLE ahead of the Cavs' home game against the Chicago Bulls. This is the highest he's been on the injury report all season as fans have gotten used to reading "out" or "doubtful" next to his name.
Questionable means just that. There's a 50/50 shot that he plays or he doesn't in the game. But even those odds are an improvement over the definitive "not playing" that fans have become accustomed to seeing on the injury report.
It has to be said that even when Windler is healthy to play, it'll be difficult to find minutes for him. Cleveland is a pretty deep team already and they've already had to cut players such as Kevin Love out of the rotation.
The Cavs have a surplus of guards and wings already so Windler will have to fight for whatever playing time he is given and will have to prove he belongs there.
Staying healthy on the floor is the first step to this.
