The wait is finally over as the 2023 All-Star game will take place on Sunday night. The game will feature one of the Cleveland Cavaliers' best players in Donovan Mitchell who also be one of the starters.

This is what I'll think we see from Mitchell in Sunday night's game:

1. A Warm Welcome

This year's All-Star festivities are taking place in Salt Lake City, Utah. This is the town the Mitchell spent the first four seasons of his career before being traded to Cleveland. Even though Mitchell doesn't play for the Jazz anymore, he's still beloved by their fans.

He was given a touching tribute video on his return in early January which included an ovation from the crowd.

Mitchell may not get this same ovation on Sunday night, but I think there's a good chance that his applause is slightly louder than some of the other starters.

2. A Highlight Dunk

It's no secret that Mitchell can get up in the air even though he's listed at just six foot one. He's put down a number of in-game jams so far this season and is always good for one even when fans are least expecting it.

With that being said, I think that we'll see Mitchell throw down at least one jaw-dropping dunk in this year's All-Star game. It wouldn't be surprising if we see him get two.

3. Double-Digit Points

Mitchell will likely get a good chunk of minutes being voted as one of the starters in the game. Just based on pure playing time alone, this could put him in contention for a decent amount of scoring.

Along with being one of the NBA's best drivers to the hoop, he's also an underrated shooter comparing him to the rest of the field. Mitchell is currently shooting a career-best 38 percent from three on just about nine attempts per game.

We also know that the All-Star game is an offensive showcase and Mitchell is guaranteed to be a part of it.

4. The Winning Team

The All-Star captains will be picking their teams before the game starts for the first time. This means we won't know what team Mitchell is until moments before tip-off.

I'm personally a big fan of this addition!

Even without knowing when there Spida will be on Team LeBron or Team Giannis, I still think we'll see Mitchell on the winning side of the game. That's just the influence he has on whatever team he's on.
