The Cavs were one of just three teams that decided to stay put at this year's chaotic trade deadline. However, they still can upgrade their roster through the buyout market.

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski has reported that Cleveland are the frontrunners to sign Danny Green once he is bought out by the Houston Rockets.

They aren't the only ones who want to bring in Green and his playoff experience, though. The Boston Celtics are just as much in play as the Cavs are, and the Lakers and Suns are also interested in bringing him in.

Danny Green could be the perfect way to upgrade a need on the Cavs' roster while not giving up an asset such as a draft pick or player. Green is known for his fantastic three-point shooting. He's a career 39.9 percent shooter from behind the arc and knocks it down just as well in the playoffs with a 38.9 percent.

The one concern with bringing in Green is that he's barely played this year. He made his season debut on February first with the Memphis Grizzlies after suffering a torn ACL injury that left him rehabbing for over half the season.

It's still unclear how he'll return from this injury at his age.

Even if the Cavs don't get the Spurs or Raptors version of Green, he could still be a fantastic depth piece if he chooses to sign in Cleveland.

NOTE: Shortly after this story was published, more reports came out that Danny Green was nearing an agreement with the Cavs.
