Ja'Marr Chase Discusses Bengals Post-Bye Success in Recent Years: 'Got to Push Even Harder'
CINCINNATI — Ja'Marr Chase has been the Bengals' best offensive player this season as he looks to keep that rolling into a part of their calendar where Cincinnati has thrived.
The Bengals didn't lose in the regular season following last year's off week and have gone 2-0 in the game immediately after the bye each of the past two years.
"I know we play with much more energy just because we know it's second half of the year and we got to push even harder just because of the record we have and where we are at right now. Just trying to get to our next goal that's all."
Chase has posted 50 catches for 556 receiving yards and three scores this season. He has 20 more catches than any other Bengal (Tyler Boyd: 30).
Cincinnati enters Sunday's matchup as an underdog for the first time this season. Expect them to at least keep it close, as they've covered the spread in five straight games as underdogs.
"I sense that we're ready to play football," Chase said about whether the team is primed to take off.
