Look: Zac Taylor, Bengals Kicking Ball Away in Go-For-It Scenarios Most of Any NFL Team

Cincinnati is 3-3 on the season coming off of the bye week.

CINCINNATI — Zac Taylor and the Bengals are 3-3 thanks to a few close wins that may have been wider margins with one difference. According to Ben Baldwin, Cincinnati is giving up the most win probability in the NFL by kicking on too many convertible fourth downs.

Cincinnati is kicking the ball away or on field goal tries at a higher rate than normal under Taylor. His Bengals' offenses have consistently rated in the lower third of this metric but things should tick up in the back half of the season.

Joe Burrow is getting healthier and healthier, which should help their success on these plays. It gets easier to kick it when you have results like the graph below lays out through seven games.
