Joe Burrow Celebrated New Contract With Bengals 'For About Five Minutes'
CINCINNATI — Joe Burrow signed a five-year, $275 million contract extension that made him the highest-paid player in NFL history on Saturday.
The 26-year-old has completely transformed the Bengals franchise since they took him with the top pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
The Bengals star didn't throw a party or take long to celebrate his accomplishment.
"Take a deep breath. Celebrate for about five minutes," Burrow said. "Continue about your weekly process. It's game week so you gotta get ready to play."
Burrow has set multiple Bengals records over the past three seasons, which includes leading the team to back-to-back AFC Championship Games. He also has five playoff wins at quarterback, including three road victories.
