CINCINNATI Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow discussed his calf strain with reporters on Wednesday. The ailment kept Burrow sidelined for a little over a month after going down on July 27.

"I'm ready to go," Burrow told reporters on Wednesday. "We're going to see how these next couple of days play out because you never know with these things, but I'm expecting to play."

Burrow acknowledged he felt good at practice on Wednesday as Cincinnati gets ready for him to lead this team on the field for the first time since the AFC Championship game.

"Just a muscle strain takes a while to get back from those," Burrow said. "They're finicky and got to spend a lot more time healing than you anticipate and so we're in that process right now."
