CINCINNATI Joe Burrow has fine-tuned his game even more this offseason as Cincinnati loads up with arguably the roster in team history.

The Bengals franchise player discussed that year-to-year progression.

"I'm in a really good spot throwing-wise," Burrow said on Wednesday. "I'm spinning it as good as I ever have, jumping off my hand as good as it ever has before. I work on that every offseason. You work on little things here and there that are going to find you that extra mile per hour, that extra RPM, or it's gonna help you put it in a smaller window and so you work on those things every year and just another year of that so I'm in a great spot."

This is Burrow's second serious lower body injury as an NFL player, but not close to the severity of his torn knee as a rookie.

"Like you said, it's a different injury," Burrow noted about 2023 and his 2021 knee recovery "But I put in the work to feel comfortable about where I'm at. Had a great, great day of practice. And I'm going to try to stack a couple more here. Like I said, we'll see but I feel good.

Arm strength's been largely the lone knock on Burrow since entering the NFL in 2020. He's since ascended to consensus top-five QB status as he looks to start fast this season and leave his calf strain in the rearview mirror.

"I'm gonna be myself," Burrow said about his plan for Cleveland on Sunday. "I'm gonna make plays that are there. I'm going to take what the defense gives me. I'm going to take shots like we always do, and I'm gonna play my game."

Cincinnati enters the game as a 2.5-point betting favorite in a place where Zac Taylor's never won as a head coach.
