NFL Star Micah Parsons Defends Joe Burrow: 'Some Days People Are Going To Out-Execute You'
CINCINNATI — Joe Burrow has had trouble starting fast over the past two season openers as Cincinnati fell hard in Week 1, 24-3 to the Cleveland Browns. Dallas Cowboys star edge rusher Micah Parsons chimed in on the performance defending Burrow.
"Everyone is throwing shade on Joe Burrow," Parsons said on his podcast. "They like to count his money just signed a huge contract once again, Joe Burrow you know, you my guy, congratulations way to get paid, brother. Listen, everyone has these days. It's the National Football League, the best league in the world.
"Okay, like some days people are going to out-execute you, but there's no excuses at the end day, he had a job to do and it was to go out there and be the best and that day he wasn't his best there's no excuse for that. And I think Cleveland has a potential to be a playoff team and I obviously their new defensive coordinator (Jim Schwartz) had a hell of a game to slow down Joe Burrow."
Burrow noted how the biggest takeaway was being more prepared for the elements.
Sunday's forecast against Baltimore calls more for temps in the mid-70s and sunny skies.
