Potential Bengals Draft Picks Calijah Kancey, Israel Abanikanda Post Great Numbers At Pittsburgh Pro Day
CINCINNATI — A pair of potential Bengals 2023 draft picks wowed at the Pittsburgh Pro Day this week.
Running back Israel Abanikanda and defensive lineman Calijah Kancey posted some great numbers.
Abanikanda is fresh off of the most rushing touchdowns in college football last season (20). He showed his speed with a reported 40-yard dash between 4.26-4.32 seconds. Any of those numbers would’ve been first among running backs at the combine.
He also jumped 41 inches in the vertical leap and posted a 10-foot-8-inch broad jump. Both would’ve been first among rushers at the combine as well.
The speedy playmaker is currently ranked 136th on the consensus big board and 15th among running backs. He could be a great fourth-round option for Cincinnati with the 131st pick.
Moving to Kancey, he posted would-be combine leading marks as well, namely a 6.91 short shuttle time. He also blasted off with a 33.5-inch vertical.
Kancey is currently ranked 24th on the consensus big board and third among defensive tackles. Cincinnati would have to take him with the 28th pick if he fell there.
