Report: Bengals Held In-Person Visit With Local Cornerback Carrington Valentine
CINCINNATI — The Bengals reportedly brought in nearby draft prospect Carrington Valentine for a visit. Justin Melo reported Cincinnati's interest in the Kentucky cornerback as the team keeps secondary players on its draft radar.
"I’ve had Zoom meetings with the Packers, Commanders, Cardinals, Lions, Jets, and Raiders," Valentine told Melo. "I had an in-person visit with the Bengals."
The Cincinnati native attended Moeller High School before playing at Kentucky.
Valentine's stock has dropped pretty heavily since the start of February when he ranked 75th on the consensus big board. Now, he is down to No. 230 and a projected seventh-round pick. The Athletic's Dane Brugler has him slated as a sixth-round pick and noted in "The Beast" that he's a Bengals fan.
The 21-year-old posted 48.5 tackles, 11 pass breakups, and 1 interception last season.
