Halftime Observations: Titans Dominating Bengals 24-3

Cincinnati is hoping to win their second-straight game.
In this story:

NASHVILLE — The Bengals trail the Titans 24-3 at halftime. Tennessee scored 24-straight points after an opening field goal by Cincinnati to take control of the game.

Cincinnati needs plenty to go their way if they're going to improve to 2-2 on the season. Here are our halftime observations:

Fast Start

The Bengals were hoping to get off to a fast start on Sunday. They took the ball to start the game after winning the coin toss.

Joe Burrow completed his first four passes for 45 yards and the Bengals nearly scored a touchdown, but their drive stalled in the red zone. They were forced to settle for a 21-yard field goal by Evan McPherson.

Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins had two receptions a piece on the opening drive and Joe Mixon averaged over six yards-per-carry.

Offensive Struggles

After starting the game 4-for-4, Burrow completed two of his next nine passes for 11 yards. This Titans defense has come alive and the Bengals offense is struggling to find an answer at the moment.

Big Plays

The Bengals' defense gave up multiple big plays in the second quarter, including a 38-yard reception to DeAndre Hopkins, a 44-yard reception to Chris Moore and a 29-yard touchdown run by Derrick Henry.

The Bengals Will Win If...

They find a way to protect Burrow. He's been hurried, hit and sacked once. The Titans have blitzed Burrow and have been able to hit him regularly.

Meanwhile, they've struggled to stop the Titans' offense. Tennessee receives the kickoff to start the second half.

The Bengals defense has to get a stop to start the half and quickly get the ball back to the offense. Getting Burrow into a rhythm is crucial. This passing offense is going to have to come alive if they're going to win.
