Bengals Game Status Report: Joe Burrow Ready To Go, Offense Will Be Shorthanded Against Titans
CINCINNATI — Bengals starting tight end Irv Smith Jr. missed practice all week with a hamstring injury and will miss a second consecutive game.
Cincinnati enters Sunday's matchup with a 1-2 record. They're hoping to improve to .500, despite not having Smith in the lineup. Look for the Bengals to elevate tight end Tanner Hudson from the practice squad on Saturday.
The Bengals will also be without their starting punt returner. Charlie Jones is dealing with a thumb injury and won't play in Nashville. Head coach Zac Taylor didn't say who would handle the returner duties, but it's safe to say Trenton Irwin is the favorite for the role.
The good news is star quarterback Joe Burrow was a full participant in practice, despite dealing with a calf injury. The 26-year-old will start on Sunday.
Linebacker Akeem Davis-Gaither (knee) is questionable.
