Report: Utah Tight End Dalton Kincaid Passes Physical Following Concern About Back Injury
CINCINNATI — Dalton Kincaid is considered one of the top tight ends in the 2023 NFL Draft. He didn't do any physical drills at the NFL Combine or at Utah's Pro Day due to a back injury, but NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah says the 23-year-old passed his physicals and is "fine" ahead of the draft.
"My updated top 50 is out, I can't find 10 players better than him," Jeremiah said on the Move the Sticks podcast. "I can't. I know you can say he's a little bit older. He had a back [injury], which I'm told he passed all his physicals. He's fine there. When you turn on the tape, there's not 10 players better than this dude in this draft."
Kincaid had 70 receptions for 890 yards and eight touchdowns last season. He's a pass catching machine, has great ball skills and most believe he's the top tight end in this year's draft.
The Bengals met with Kincaid at the NFL Combine and he's one of many players that they could target with the 28th overall pick.
It's also worth noting that Cincinnati has taken eight players that didn't go through physical testing during the pre-draft process since 2015. They aren't going to shy away from Kincaid because he missed part of the process due to the back injury.
