Report: Former Bengals Defensive End Chris Smith Has Died at 31-Years-Old

The 31-year-old spent one season in Cincinnati.

CINCINNATI — Former Bengals defensive end Chris Smith has died according to his high school alma mater. 

The cause of death is unknown at this time. 

The 31-year-old also spent time with the Jaguars, Browns, Raiders and Texans. Smith recently played for the Seattle Sea Dragons in the XFL after spending eight seasons in the NFL.
