Joe Burrow Underwent Successful Surgery and Will Begin Recovery and Rehab This Week

Burrow is expected to make a full recovery.

CINCINNATI — Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow underwent successful surgery on Monday afternoon to repair a torn ligament in his right wrist.

“The procedure went as planned and he is expected to make a complete recovery," the Bengals announced in a statement. "Joe will return to Cincinnati this week to be with the team and begin the recovery and rehab process.”

The 26-year-old suffered a torn ligament during Cincinnati's Week 11 loss to Baltimore. Burrow was adamant about staying with the team and helping in meetings any way he can while he's out.

"That was important to him," head coach Zac Taylor said on Monday.

Burrow was at Paycor Stadium for Sunday's loss to the Steelers. It sounds like he plans to remain with the team over the next six weeks.

The Bengals star is expected to make a full recovery.
