Orlando Brown Jr. Will Play Against 49ers, Chase Brown Ruled Out With Hamstring Injury
CINCINNATI — Bengals starting left tackle Orlando Brown Jr. will start on Sunday against the 49ers, despite being limited in practice this week with a groin injury.
Brown didn't play in the second half of their Week 6 win over the Seahawks after tweaking his groin. He told reporters he was good to go earlier this week. Head coach Zac Taylor confirmed the news on Friday.
The news wasn't as positive for rookie running back Chase Brown. He suffered a hamstring injury in Thursday's practice and has been ruled out for Sunday's game.
There was some hope that Brown could emerge following the bye week as a reliable threat behind Joe Mixon in the Bengals' backfield. That will have to wait following this injury.
Look for Trayveon Williams and Chris Evans to serve as the other two options at running back behind Mixon on Sunday.
