Cincinnati improves to 4-3 on the season. They've won three-straight games.
In this story:

SANTA CLARA, CALIF. — The Bengals never trailed in Sundays 31-17 win over the 49ers.

Cincinnati is 4-3 on the season following the win. They've won three consecutive games. Here are our postgame observations:

Burrow's Back

Joe Burrow was dominant on Sunday. He completed 28-of-32 passes for 283 yards and three touchdowns.

He led the Bengals on back-to-back touchdown drives to start the game, completing 10-of-12 passes for 95 yards and two touchdowns.

Burrow also ran for 43 yards, including a 20 yard scramble.

Linebackers Come Up Big

Logan Wilson and Germaine Pratt had interceptions on back-to-back drives to put the Bengals in position for the win.

First, Pratt intercepted Brock Purdy's at the 10-yard line with just 12 seconds left in the third quarter. The 49ers were closing in on the game-tying score with the Bengals leading 17-10.

Instead, Pratt made a great play by tipping the ball to himself. The Bengals punted it on the ensuing possession, but the interception kept the 49ers from scoring.

Purdy threw it right to Wilson on San Francisco's first play from scrimmage following the Bengals' punt.

Burrow found Ja'Marr Chase for a 17-yard touchdown on the next play, which gave the Bengals a 24-10 lead with 13:04 remaining.

The Bengals defense forced three turnovers. All three occurred in the final 16 minutes of the game.

Fast Start

The Bengals defense forced a 3-and-out to start the game and the offense started hot. JoeBurrow completed 7-of-9 passes for 60 yards. He found Tyler Boyd for a 6-yard touchdown to give Cincinnati a 7-0 lead.

San Francisco answered with a touchdown on the ensuing possession, but Burrow wasn't done. He led Cincinnati on a 6-play, 58-yard drive that ended with a two-yard touchdown pass to Andrei Iosivas.

Run Game

Burrow wasn't the only Joe that moved the ball effectively. Joe Mixon ran for 87 yards and the game-sealing touchdown on 16 attempts

The Bengals' offensive line protected Burrow, opened holes for Mixon and deserves credit for how they performed against a tough 49ers front.

Bad Turnover

Irv Smith Jr. fumbled the ball inside the 5-yard line with 38 seconds left in the half. The Bengals were close to extending their lead. Instead, the 49ers kept them from scoring.

The Bengals scored touchdowns on their first two possessions, missed a field goal on their possession and fumbled right before the half. Cincinnati led 14-10 at halftime, but could've had a much bigger lead.
