Cincinnati Bengals Officially Franchise Tag Tee Higgins

Cincinnati has until July 15 to sign him longterm.

CINCINNATI — The Bengals officially placed the franchise tag on Tee Higgins. 

Cincinnati will pay Higgins $21.8 million on the tag if they can't agree to a long-term deal. He is the first NFL player to get tagged in 2024.

"Tee has done an outstanding job for us since we drafted him in 2020," Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said in a statement. "I'm glad that he'll continue to be a big part of our offense and our team."

The two sides have until July 15 to ink a long-term extension or Higgins will have to play on the one-year deal if he wants to suit up in 2024.
