Report: Joe Mixon 'Cited To Come To Court' For Incident With Motorist
CINCINNATI — Joe Mixon reportedly isn't out of the woods from his first run-in with the law this year. Tanya O'Rourke reports Mixon has to go to court for the January incident with a motorist.
"Sources tell me Joe Mixon has been cited to come to court in relation to allegedly waving a gun at a motorist in January," O'Rourke tweeted.
The original charge was dropped in February, but it had a chance to get refiled if more evidence surfaced.
4/7 UPDATE: The Cincinnati Police have refiled a criminal charge of Aggravated Menacing against Mixon upon the discovery of new evidence. Look at their release below.
"Mixon will be re-summoned to court over the allegations, for which charges against him were dropped. Mixon will return to court on April 19," Felcia Jordan wrote.
According to court documents, Mixon was accused of pointing a gun and making verbal threats at a victim in downtown Cincinnati in January.
The Bengals issued a statement on the matter.
“The club is aware misdemeanor charges have been raised against Joe Mixon. The club is investigating the situation and will not comment further at this time.”
The team has not announced any discipline for Mixon as of this writing.
