Report: Panthers Releasing Former Bengals Tight End Hayden Hurst

The veteran just signed a three-year deal last offseason.

CINCINNATI — The Panthers are releasing former Bengals tight end Hayden Hurst according to The Athletic's Joe Person.

Hurst caught 18 passes for 184 yards and one touchdown in 2023 after signing a three-year deal worth $21.75 million deal last March.

He did not play in a game after Nov. 9 due to severe concussion symptoms. Hurst was a solid weapon for Joe Burrow in 2022 and could make a return to the jungle on another low-cost deal (one-year, $3.5 million in 2022).
