Report: Steelers Have Mixed Feelings About Signing Tyler Boyd
CINCINNATI — The Steelers are interested in former Bengals wide receiver Tyler Boyd, but there are mixed feelings in the organization about a potential homecoming.
"Some people (not all) inside Steelers not 100% on board with signing Tyler Boyd," Mark Kaboly tweeted. "There is still time to work things and everything is still on the table but it doesn't appear anywhere close to a sure thing like it appeared to be a week ago at this time."
Boyd has been with the Bengals since 2016 and ranks seventh all-time in franchise receiving yards (6,000). The Steelers traded Diontae Johnson to the Panthers, but signed Van Jefferson in free agency and are also reportedly hosting Mike Williams for a visit this week.
Boyd is a free agent for the first time in his career. The Bengals aren't expected to re-sign him. He's a Pittsburgh native. The Raiders and Chiefs are also possible destinations for the 29-year-old.
