Report: Browns Wouldn’t Consider Playing Games Outside of Cleveland During Potential Stadium Work
A report surfaced yesterday that the Cleveland Browns may have to play a couple seasons outside of Cleveland while the stadium is revamped. There’s been a new report that’s came out that says the Browns have no plans of making fans travel to watch the team.
Despite the obvious connection to Columbus with Browns owner Jimmy Haslam owning the Columbus Crew, it looks like the Browns may want to keep their fans in Northeast Ohio. Despite there being a large fan base for the Browns in Central Ohio, making season ticket holders travel may not be the move.
According to the original report, the work on the stadium on the lakefront could begin in 2026. At this time, there has been no official announcement on the work, but could come before long.
