Former Cleveland Browns Defensive Tackle Announces Retirement

After a 10 year career in the NFL, one former member of the Cleveland Browns is hanging up the cleats.

Former Cleveland Browns defensive tackle Malik Jackson is hanging up the cleats after 10 seasons in the NFL. Jackson spent the 2021 season with the Browns and did not sign with a team during the 2022 season.

“I’m done,” Jackson said on Good Morning Football. “I’m not leaving the couch right now

Jackson started all 16 games for the Browns in 2021 and recorded 25 tackles, a half sack, and seven hits on the quarterback. The former Tennessee Volunteers defensive lineman was a fifth-round pick of the Denver Broncos in 2012. Jackson spent four years with the Broncos before uplinking the Jacksonville Jaguars for the next three seasons.

In 2017, Jackson made his only Pro Bowl with the Jaguars when he forced four fumbles, eight sacks, and 40 tackles. After the stint in Jacksonville, Jackson spent 2019 and 2020 with the Philadelphia Eagles. Jackson ended his career with 292 tackles and 35.5 sacks.
